e nell’attimo che cadi tutto scorre e non hai più confini. E forse doveva andare così, bisognava volare, bisognava cadere per sentire oltre, per andare oltre. Poi cos’è lo spazio? Il vuoto che sta fuori, quello che sta dentro di noi e come lasciarlo lì, senza colmarlo per dargli senso e dimensione.

With the constant barrage of noise from 'man made' things, fighting for our attention every waking second, many of us forget the soft call of natures voice.
'Jeanes' songs tell stories of sleeping fields, breathing trees & drunken bees.

Inspired by an article by Ian Macdonald about Nick Drake which said 'sensitive young people often have a horror of being understood for fear of losing their uniqueness, and in the process finding that they are not as unique as they like to think. The vocal was recorded in Catherine Hershey's Parisian home, with wonderful notes of morning bird song coming through the open windows.

Simple Jayne is the first track from the Sleeping Leaves EP.

Having personally witnessed firsthand a tragic incident on the London Underground, this song acted as a kind of catharsis. The song expands the occurrence into a fictional narrative around the central protagonist. An ode to the fragility of human life and the importance of leading our best lives despite the cards we're often dealt.
