Olivier Giacomotto returns to a revitalised Yoshitoshi…

The term veteran is too often banded around in dance music. But in Olivier Giacomotto’s case it’s deadly accurate. His discography reaches back over a decade, taking in labels such as, Get Physical, Global Underground, Stil Vor Talent, Suara, Einmusika, Eleatics, 3000 Grad and more (much more actually); in between all that he finds time to run Definitive with long time collaborative partner John Aquaviva, all of which is before a touring schedule that’s taken him around the world.

“Olivier has been a close-knit member of the Yoshitoshi family over the years with many phenomenal originals and remixes,” says Sharam, “so it’s only fitting to launch our first release of 2022 with his amazing double A sided release that’s been a massive head-turner in many of my sets”.

Daylight’s Delight / Time Feat. Lady Vale are the dictionary definition of an AA-side; two impeccable slices of melodic techno that force any listener into the difficult position of trying to pick a winner. To say there’s a subjective fly-paper between them would be an understatement, both are rich with Olivier’s sharp production skills and infectious riffs, whilst Time also boasts a vocal courtesy of Lady Vale’s sultry musings.

Next up on Miss Monique’s influential progressive label is Das Pharaoh with a new and stylish two track offering called My Everything. Das Pharaoh is a new melodic techno project from the famous duo Aly&Fila, and they start off with a bang here!

My Everything kicks off with low slung bass and moody chords. It's a track with a dark sense of soul but plenty of optimism in the melodies. A spine-tingling female vocal comes in and really takes things to the next level. Tale Of The Two Rivers is a deep roller with twitchy synth motifs and nice slinky bass. It's full of melodic colour and futuristic sound design and is sure to make a mark in the club.

This is another standout EP on Siona.

Das Pharaoh - My Everything (Extended Mix)

The prolific and always-on-point Dear Deer Music is back with Himszlow's new single Custo including Robert Babicz and Olivier Giacomotto Remixes.

Custo is a beautifully downbeat tune. The heavy, slow drums are dubbed out and moody, with delicate melodies and synths up top adding to the melancholy, while a breathy vocal drifts in the spaces left behind. It's epic in emotion. Custo (Robert Babicz Remix) is then a more club-ready cut with smooth rolling bass and heady chords that get you in a trance, gazing at the progressive melodies. Last of all is Custo (Olivier Giacomotto Remix) which has another driving baseline and fleshy bass with scintillating percussion.

This is a classy trio of cuts once more.

In memory of Giovanni Salvai, a Sardinian man who has inspired many lives.
May this song make his voice resonate forever. « Custo », a Sardinian word meaning « this one ».

Hello guys, i'm glad to present the 5th chapter of my DJ Set Series. Eleria External Existence.

In this series. I will be telling through music the story of this magical world called Eleria, a world where music is the only thing that matters.

Chapter 05: Shadows and Serenades

The Melody Weaver emerges in the magical world of Eleria – Seraph, a talented and devoted male disciple of Elerius, the god of music. Seraph's arrival surprises the inhabitants, as he is the first disciple to be chosen by Elerius in centuries. His connection to the divine realm deepens the mysteries of Eleria, and his presence brings a profound change in the fabric of its musical essence. As Seraph embraces his role as a disciple, he reveals ancient teachings and lost arts of music, guiding the realm towards a more profound understanding of its musical potential. Seraph's knowledge and power awaken the latent abilities in the other musicians and creatures, amplifying their harmonies and rhythms to unparalleled heights. With Eleria's musical landscape forever transformed by the arrival of Seraph, a new era of enlightenment dawns, revealing the realm's true destiny entwined with the divine symphony of Elerius.

Music Interpetration:

The DJ set for Chapter 05, inspired by Seraph "The Melody Weaver," is a dynamic journey alternating between dark and melodic musics, reflecting the interplay of light and shadows in Eleria.
