In the Mid-West, harvest runs from September through October. What a farmer sows in late April, will be reaped during the harvest. As Christians, we are called to sow & reap too. However, we're not all called to farm, but rather harvest the hearts prepared before hand by God. There are many ideas about who Jesus is. Even the Jewish religious leaders had a hard time identifying Him, even as He walked before them. This should have been easy, as they had the Scriptures and many prophecies to identify Him. Jesus had a specific address to identify His Person and place in history. A highway mirage is when water appears to be on the road up ahead, but upon arriving at the location, there's no water at all. The same is true for some who claim to have faith in Christ. Through out the Gospels, we find a crowd following Jesus. However, only a few knew or believed who He truly was. It seems many were just following for the free meals. Join us this Sunday, as we continue  our study in John Chapter 6. After feeding the 5000, we pick back up after the crowd has followed Jesus and His disciples across the Sea of Galilee. Jesus challenges this crowd, by encouraging them to not seek the food that perishes, but the “Food That Does Not Perish.”
