Mr. Brandreth had suffered a broken heart after a failed love affair with the mysterious Jane Addison, and embarked on a successful career as an actor in Hollywood. We find him now in Hong Kong with his friend, the screenwriter Robbie Campbell-Blankowitz.

When last we left Mr Brandreth in episode 3 he had cut loose from his friend Robbie Campbell-Blankowitz and abandoned the soulless life of a successful contemporary artist for the rounded perspective of a career as a barrister. All seems, if not well, then at least to be
returning to an even keel for our hero. That is until the summer of
2003 sees episode 4 begin: The Parade of the New Acquisitions.

When the Duke of Edinburgh is kidnapped, Benet must find and fight a notorious villain. But when a second captive is revealed - one close to Benet's heart - he is forced to make an impossible choice.

I am a barrister, writer, performer and expert on rhetoric and the language of Shakespeare. As well as two novels, I have written comedy scripts for radio and the stage.
