XZO is a Rapper, Producer and DJ based between Edinburgh & Glasgow and has been shaking up the growing Scottish Rap & HipHop scene. They’re now making waves in the Queer scene from the underground arena. Their English stage debut this year in Manchester with Trans Producer collective “TRANS_FORMATIONS” had them working with the likes of I.JORDAN and received workshops from TAAHLIAH and Ifeoluwa, returning a stunning show of collaborative work with 12 others. 

Their DJ debut at Kelburn Garden Party for Excuse My Beauty’s stage takeover is one for the history books as Scotland’s first all trans festival stage ever. XZO’s eclectic song choice brings Jersey Club, Hardcore, Hip-Hop, Drill, House, Afrobeats and Queer Pop together along with whatever else they might throw into the mix. XZO also has a fundraiser running if you would like to further support their endeavours.

ARAE is an audio visual artist based in Glasgow. Coming from an art and performance background, sound design and DJing became natural next steps in her practice. She came out last year as a trans woman with the release of a Soundcloud post titled ‘THEE TRANSGENDER MIX’. The sound is routed in queerness, drawing inspiration from her own trans experience, close friends and her relationship with partying in Glasgow. This guest mix combines soft and hard sounds - her current fav ethereal vocals layered with a plethora of electronic, hard-dance tracks. Expect fast tempo remixes and slutty fem-pop soundbites.

We’re kicking off in style with @spinefluid who absolutely smashed it at our last gig in December. They will be brining you an eclectic mix of hard-dance, hard-techno and otherworldly alien sounds.

HEY QT - Spinefluid (SubCity 001)

Since 2007 in parallel with the activity of producer, Michael started DJing small parties and events in his local area. Over the years he began to collaborate with many radio stations both online and FM, in Europe and the rest of the World including: Pionner DJ Radio in Ibiza, Radio Playstudio in Bologna, Eurobeat Radio in London, Kiss FM Australia in Melbourne and many others.

Since 2016 he gave up freelance DJing and dedicated himself to radio and founded a show called B-Tronic. The podcast airs every Saturday on 'In Progress Radio' in Amsterdam from 3-4pm. It is a sixty minute DJ set in which he offers the best Techno and Progressive House releases.

With this mix, Michael wanted to ride the deep wave of Techno music, a journey into the darkness, twisted, aggressive but at the same time pure.
