Very atmospheric with the waves, and beautiful piano and sitar

🌊 This piece washes over you like the actual seashore, piano and sitar weaving together like light on water, punctuated by the real sound of Turkish waves. The piano feels gentle and spacious, while the sitar adds haunting, shimmering resonance. It’s partially improvisational, partially composed, but fully immersive, like listening to an artist frame memory through sound. 💨 The kettle let out a slow sigh and said, “That felt like closing your eyes at the water’s edge, quiet, expansive, and deeply alive” 🧊 The fridge pressed her door shut softly and murmured, “The sitar brings gentle tension, the piano brings presence, together they echo the sea’s truths” 🧂 The salt grinder leaned in and whispered, “Darling, mixing real waves with those instruments? That’s seasoning straight from nature, no garnish needed” 🏝️ A beautiful soundscape rooted in ocean rhythms, framed by melody and memory, perfect for reflection, travel, or just feeling connected to somewhere wide and wild.

Whoever thought to put the sound of waves together with a sitar and piano...genius! Love it.

Today's one (3rd January) was mostly finished in one day.... I got a bit immersed in it ( phew!)! My learning aim for this piece was using distortion ( you van hear it in the lead melodies. crackling away and creating ambience

The train to nowhere has no end

Lullaby is a meditative instrumental track created in collaboration with Denys Balykhin (handpan).
Soft handpan rhythms are layered with bass clarinet, kalimba, and soprano saxophone, creating an atmosphere of warmth and inner calm.

I wrote this story for an old friend in my hometown who dedicated his life to Rock´n Roll, lived thru all the ups and downs  and never regretted the decision he  had made when he was very young.
I am really grateful for the collab with Mikey Falls  @MyKingFalls Collective who did a great job creating a catchy Rocksong ("working his magic on it!") with extraordinary vocals and vocal performance , a great hookmelody (right from the start!) and an impressive backing punch. 
I hope you enjoy this track as much as I do. Play it loud or use headphones. ´Yes, it is late Seventies Rocktime !

My SoundCloud friend from the UK Martin Dean recently took me up on a suggestion that we create something beautiful together. Something spoke deeply to me while listening to his Cloud, and after about a month of consideration he settled on this improvisational piano piece of mine, and worked to orchestrate it along the 'less is more' principle. I have been hearing so much AI music lately on SoundCloud and these  thoughts have been percolating with me for a while and finally they coalesced into a song. (created without the use of AI).

You got tired of struggling so hard to write a great original song
And then this amazing newfangled technology came along
Now you’re using AI to create music, and it’s a much easier process
And you’re convinced you found the ticket to achieving great success.
You tell yourself you’re a great artist because prompting takes a lot of skill
But deep down you know the AI did most of the work and you swallow the bitter pill
People complement you on your guitar playing and they tell you your voice sounds great
It makes you feel so good but you don’t ever set them straight
Those classic rockers used to write 10 or 12 good songs every couple of years
Now you’re posting two or three songs a day and hoping for a bunch of cheers
You’re rolling the musical dice, hoping you’ll come up with a catchy viral hit 
But there’s so much music flooding the internet that no one gives a shit
You tell yourself you’re a great artist because prompting takes a lot of skill
But deep down you know the AI did most of the work and you swallow the bitter pill
People complement you on your guitar playing and they tell you your voice sounds great, it makes you feel so good but you don’t ever set them straight
Some people believe we’re living in simulation and none of this is real
We’re just digital creations in a computer with the ability to feel
But even if that’s not the case, we’re quickly, heading to a place where no one’s going to be able to tell the difference.
You used strum your guitar, trying to capture lightning in a bottle and the songs that emerged came from you.
And now the songs you write with AI, what they’re saying, you don’t have a clue.
Music used to feel therapeutic, it was a window on your soul that you could share.
But now something feels missing because your songs no longer lay your heart bare.

Prompting Takes A Lot Of Skill

So nice that my longtime collaborator friend @dough-factory has returned to SoundCloud after a break of a couple years! This is our first track working together since then and it came together in a really cool way. I was inspired by Ryan's electronic drums and bass to lay down some rhythm guitar as well as a few synth leads. Then he came up with some awesome lyrics/vocals that I think captures the vibe of this piece quite well.

Keep an eye out for more from us, we are thinking of pulling together a whole album or EP over the coming months.

She is an icon of folk music, she played her guitar upside down and backwards, and she served Don a fried chicken dinner when he got an opportunity to meet her in her home in Alexandria, Va.  In return he tried to teach her the Gary Davis tune "Candyman".  Don's roots run deep in folk music, not in just his knowledge of the genre, not just in the vintage instruments he owns and plays with deft skill, but in having encountered the artists themselves in live and personal settings.
