Studio Pandora is a free-to-visit hybrid between an off- and online stage in TivoliVredenburg. In the former smoking area on the sixth floor podcasts about music are developed, DJs are given free reign and a stage is created for conversations about culture and/or Utrecht. Studio Pandora was created thanks to the experiences of TivoliVredenburg in recent times. A souvenir of the COVID era, which artist Dewy Elsinga has turned into a colourful and warm headquarter, by which we’d like to offer a kickstart to starting, experimenting and often local creatives.

For this installment, I went a lot deeper than I’ve gone in a while. 

Inspired by the first heavy rain this winter, I found myself imagining a story about Rebirth, Life & Death, and the Infinite Flow of things being created as other things are destroyed. 

The accompanying art pieces shape a visual for this narrative. The whole idea of the project is to tell stories through music and art together in singularity.

Passion, perfectionism, and perseverance are the words that best define Devel's work.

The young promise was born in a humble town south of Madrid. From a very young age, his love for music stood out; he would spend hours listening to a wide variety of musical styles, ranging from Rock to orchestral music. Later on, he discovered his great passion for synthetic sounds.

When we talk about his own musical style, the Madrid native is unmistakable. It's impossible not to think of those energetic rhythms with a life of their own, making each set a unique and different journey. Devel doesn't confine himself to any one musical genre. Depending on the situation, he strives to find a balance between House and Techno, without overlooking the melodic nuances that characterize him.

His most notable releases to date have been "Fast EP" on the ARM Records label, and his unofficial remix of the iconic track "Rumore Chimico" by Alma Matris, supported by great artists such as Solomun and Les Castizos among many others.

Although his career has only just begun, he has already performed at several important venues in his city, such as Ballesta Club, Ifema, Cívitas Metropolitano, and many more.

Currently, his musical curiosity has led to the creation of his own podcast, The Noise of Devel. A distinctive and emerging project where the artist shares the latest releases and his favorite music with all of us.
