Finally after a lot of hard work my version of Hans Zimmers track 'Lost But Won' is out now on Soundcloud.  
If you havn't seen the movie 'RUSH' yet please see it now its directed by Ron Howard and the sound track is just amasing. The film tells the heart warming story of the 1976 Formula One session and the intense rivalry between English driver James Hunt and Austrian Niki Lauda, Who half way through the session experienced a life threatening accident at the Nurburgring, but returned back in the drivers seat only 6 weeks later in time for the Italian Grand Prix. Although he lost the title by just one point to James Hunt that year he won his second title the year later..

This is a new version of a track I wrote way back in the mid 90s around 1997 I think. Its about the millennium and the fear some had that the world was going to end in 1999. The lyrics throughout the song manly focus on the aftermath of a fictional global disaster and how life would still continue on

This is an instrumental track from the Pink Floyd's 1994 album, The Division Bell the track won a Grammy Award in 1995. And is the only track the band ever receive a Grammy Award for.  And arguably one of the very best guitar instrumentals ever written. What makes this track unique is David Gilmour's tasteful use of a Digitech Whammy pedal. A effects pedal normally associated with heavy metal guitarist, but Gilmour uses this effect pedal to play note's up to 8 octave's higher than what is possible with a traditional guitar set up. This cue starts off with a few chords in Eb major on a Piano heavily laced with reverb before the main melody kicks in. A Celesta sounding synth takes the listener on a sonic journey very reminiscent of a mid-1980s sci-fi movie. The icy & spacey feel is created with the Native Instruments Massive synth. The drums and bass bring you back down to earth with a more modern and almost dubstep feel that really add a unique sense of depth and colour to this beautifully uplifting cue

While composing this cue I suddenly thought of our world and how it is controlled by a power hiding behind the scenes manipulating our system for their own interest. This entity controls us via a single point organised in a network similar to a spider web. On March 11th, 2020, the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic. To minimize the rate of new infections and to prevent health institutions from overloading, most European countries went into lockdown, this included closure of all non-essential Businesses, Shops, Schools, Colleges and Universities.  
Lockdown was an invisible enemy that striked hard on the mental health of the most fragile people and hit hard on the most vulnerable women, children and men that relied on group support. Institutions for drug addiction, alcoholism, domestic abuse could not provid face to face meetings or personal one to one surpport.
Loved ones couldnt say their final goodbyes to family members who died as funerals were not allowed. Even children, who suddenly became ill during this time, found themselves alone in hospitals as parents weren't allowed to go with them. 
Will we ever come out of the lockdown we have imprisoned ourselves in fear of one another?
