Emile Facey (Plant43) has been at the forefront of electronic for more than twelve years. During that time the British producer has released on a host of seminal labels, expanding his style and sound in new directions. 
Although Plant43 is typically classified as a purveyor of electro, behind those driving rhythms and steely percussion a tenderness has always been present, an emotion expressed in lilting melodies and complex harmonies. It is these melodies and harmonies that come into focus on Plant43’s debut ambient album. 
On ”From Deep Streams” is a rich and textured tapestry of synth work, a soundtrack that organically unfurls from nightime woodland walks and city stargazing to mindful solitude.
The eight tracks offer the listener a calming journey into stillness, an excursion through gentle audio currents and a moment to pause and take in an inspiring vista of sound. Recorded over the space of 3 months, this album gives the quiet, the subtle and the sometimes underappreciated centre stage whilst casting light on yet another side of Emile Facey’s ever-evolving music.

This is the third installment of a new extension of the Dark Science Electro brand called ‘Premieres’. Certainly not a new/original concept, however, the thing that will set @darkscienceelectro Premieres apart from other publishers will be my singular focus on Electro music. The idea is to introduce existing DSE fans to the promos that I get regularly from labels and artists. Each ‘Premiere’ will feature one full track from an upcoming release as well as a few words about the release either written by @dvsnme , the artist or the label.

When artists come recommended to me by both Franck Kartell and Commuter my ears prick up, no question.

I am pleased to welcome French duo Nomenklatür to Bass Agenda Recordings.

The duo have been releasing records since 2004 on labels such as David Caretta's Space Factory and their own imprint Elektrofon, where early works of the likes of Franck Kartell and Commuter were released.

After a break they're back in business with their third album - "Atomised".

The album blends all the elements you would hope for from a French duo dedicated to the diverse world of electronic music - sci-fi, darkness, surreal warmth, techno grooves, and a level of depth that demands and then rewards repeated and careful listening.

Reclaiming her original moniker of Kittin, electroclash pioneer  - formerly known as Miss Kittin -  presents Cosmos, a continuous twelve-track LP of organic, leftfield electronica due 2 November on Dark Entries. Throughout her illustrious career, Kittin has carved a considerable niche for herself, assimilating references from New Wave and 90s techno to form an inimitable sound that resonates with electronic music fans the world over. Despite being most recognizable with ‘Miss’ before it, Kittin was in fact her original artist name - the prefix often added without her consent at promoter’s will and eventually becoming the norm.  
Cosmos is her most spiritual release yet, influenced by her time in the French countryside after a bout of touring exhaustion. She gives up any formulas from her past; verses/chorus, pop or club beats, to come to the essence of chords and textures, peeling away the non-essential to find joy in music yet again.  In retrieving her chosen name from more than 20 years ago, Kittin also returns to the essence of her musical journey. By liberating herself from the constraints of formal structure she opens the door to a new set of aesthetics, exploring her influences without restraint. Sonically, the voice acts a central instrument, whilst the album drives continuously forward with no breaks, paying homage to her love for ambient and electronica whilst wandering calmly into the unknown. “With Cosmos everything is energy. Loose Lips Mix Series - 195 - DVS NME (Dark Science Electro)

Ben Mansfield's not quite club music, not quite pub music manifesto goes from strength to strength, this time hitting us up with an indefinable track from Lie of the Land, the fact that it doesn't fit into any category fits in perfectly with Cosmic Pint Glass's perfectly imperfect in-between style.
Lie Of The Land have a bit of notoriety on the Porn Wax label already and have managed to straddle the line between techno and a bit of acid with just the right amount of chill and this lands directly in the lap of the Cosmic Pint Glass sound.
In spite of the slightly experimental feel this one is so pleasing on the ear with just the right hint of acid, just the right hint of downtempo, making this one cross over nicely between the DJs who like to play late and the ones who like to play early.  Having already plugged the fact that this label is Norwich based it would be unfair to say that this is top of the A1 North Norfolk playlist, however, this track is as big as Delia Smith having a half time pep talk with the Canaries fans...
