I shared a very special connection with someone and felt a profound kind of love for him, and from him, that I had never experienced before. I wrote the song as a gift to him, with no intention of ever recording it, but when the relationship ended, I decided to immortalize the magic I had experienced. My hope with "Fox Eyes" is to share the sensations of really being seen by a loved one, and the joy and vulnerability that comes with that.
