A home where I feel safe and loved,
A people I can call my own,
Beneath this mask—a cry for help,
I’m drifting on a stormy sea,
I’m tossed about from wave to wave,
With no direction how to be.

I’ll pour the oil and the wine,

Once I wandered in this vain, decaying, turbulent world 
Finding nothing that gave meaning inside
In that barren land, I long had thirsted 
But I found that nothing satisfy.

Then I saw You, Lord, 
As You revealed Your living water to me
Saying, “Drink and find an endless supply”
And I touched You as the living fountain
As the well that never will run dry.

And now I wander, thirst no longer
Since I called on You and took You as my King
Broken cisterns dry, I leave behind me
For within I have a living spring.

Lord, You came to me; so moved by pity
And You died for me, though lesser than the least
Once a prodigal, now clothed with mercy
So by grace I can enjoy the feast.

Now that I have Your regenerating life in me, Lord.
Let me constantly experience You,
O Lord, soften me and keep me open
And now all my fleshly life subdue.

But don't stop there
write your law of life upon my innermost being
And transform me to Your image inside
Build me up within Your glorious Body
Till I meet you as Your longed-for Bride.

And now You draw me with all Your beauty
Mary poured her all and I will do the same
Now I consecrate my life to You, Lord.
And rejoice to suffer for Your name.

Till we’re built into the consummation
New Jerusalem with the life-giving tree
And the river flows through all the City
Gushing up to eternity.

Once I Wandered

	My wandering days grew increasingly empty
As I searched for the way,
Just to fill this gap inside me—
Found my seeking vain.
Though all this dark earth would convince me life’s worthwhile,
Inside all my mirth
Was a cry for something real.
Don’t you lie to me, world!
  	For my heart tells me different
When I hear of contentment
Deep within a lack knew better
  Why not be honest, world.

	A flood of strong doubt as I heard the old story
Of a man they called Lord;
Yet my heart ne’er ceased to wonder,
Is He really Lord?
A search in His Word found my hardened heart softened,
And earth’s vanities faded.
In the brightness of His presence
Jesus came into me.
  	Now we’re always together
Growing into God’s fullness.
O Lord Jesus, how I love You!
  You brought life into me.

1. Lord, it seems
That I fail and fail again.
I see Your face,
But then the veils return again.
Emotion’s stirred, but there’s no change in me.
I’m living in my soul; I have to learn
A little more, each day, O Lord, to turn.

2. Lord, I know
That I’ve truly seen You, but
The vision fades;
I look away to other things.
Remind me, Lord, reveal Yourself to me,
That from my idols I would be set free.
A little more, each day, I want to see.

3. Lord, my mind
Is occupied with many things--
This thorny age,
With all of its anxieties.
My faith is weak; I’m caught up in my cares.
I need to learn to tell it all to You!
A little more, each day, my mind renew.

4. Lord, my will
Is resistant to Your touch.
Disarm me, Lord;
Don’t let me win against Your grace.
I turn my eyes and see Your patient love--
What can I do but stop and come to You?
A little more, each day, my will subdue.

5. Lord, I pray,
Make me desperate for You.
Keep drawing me
And training me to hear Your voice.
Lord, even though my progress is so slow,
You’re by my side; You will not let me go.

I was reading through the 3rd book of Psalms (Psalms 84) , when a prayer came up in me. 
"Lord, I don't know what you need to do through this situation, but I pray that it gets done quickly. Use me for that purpose. Use all who are willing."

Our goal is God Himself. 
In me there was a realization that God doesn't care so much about what we ask, but why we ask for such things. What is our intention? Yes we want protection from the virus, but why? 
Yes, Lord I want to know you, but why?
I ask that the next time you make a request to the Lord, just consider what the goal of your request is. That what I've been learning to do.

At any cost dear Lord, by any road. 
Realizing this made a huge difference. The Christian life isn't supposed to be Cushy. It's a mirror of the life that Jesus lived. Didn't matter if it was right or wrong. Didn't matter if it hurt or not. Didn't matter if it was fair. 
 The only thing that mattered was if Christ was with me.

My goal is God Himself, not joy, nor peace,
Nor even blessing, but Himself, my God;
’Tis His to lead me there—not mine, but His—
At any cost, dear Lord, by any road.
So faith bounds forward to its goal in God,
And love can trust her Lord to lead her there;
Upheld by Him, my soul is following hard
Till God hath full fulfilled my deepest prayer.
No matter if the way be sometimes dark,
No matter though the cost be oft-times great,
He knoweth how I best shall reach the mark,
The way that leads to Him must needs be strait.
One thing I know, I cannot say Him nay;
One thing I do, I press towards my Lord;
My God my glory here, from day to day,
And in the glory there my great Reward.
