The well renowned swiss producer TROSTE, known for his profound, still and symphonic productions, has concocted another EP masterpiece in his kitchen, called LAI LUNG / LAI NER. The first song starts out with a low kick and a hip organ groove complimented by an ever growing synth chord which plays off that. As things continue to rise, hats and shakers come in to the beat. The synth opens up and begins to change it’s short catchy melody and a raw clap smacks through the mix. In the bridge the drums cease and give way to just the synths, added in is an atmospheric eery vocal pad and strings. The track ends in a similar way it began yet relies more on its percussive elements. The second track having a similar vibe as the first contains many of the same sounds. The drums and overall rhythm reminds one of early 2000’s psy-trance. The melody is made up of layers of wishy washy synths weaving in and out, even panning which creates a mesmerizing affect. If you want some of that original flavor with modern high end production value cooking utensils then this is a dish best served aurally!

Patrick Mason and Rekids boss Matt Edwards return for their second appearance as SRVD with two cuts entitled ‘RAW FILES’.

Not confined to a single art form, Patrick Mason is a young creative at the forefront of Berlin’s art, fashion, dance music and LGBT scene; an influential club kid who developed a friendship with Matt Edwards after a chance meeting in Panorama Bar, resulting in numerous studio sessions and improvised live sets. Joining forces in 2018, the pair adopted their SRVD moniker – an alias inspired by New York’s vogue scene – before dropping their debut release on Rekids, playing at various clubs (notably Panorama Bar), not to mention an unforgettable performance at Boiler Room x Pornceptual.

‘The Yard Man’ presents rattling drums, piercing vocal chants and a tormenting melody that SRVD has been destroying dancefloors with over the last year. On the flip, ‘Brotha’ presents a compelling groove as a shuffling rhythm joins abrasive synths and Mason’s penetrating voice.

Alan featuring some of his biggest tracks on the label, as well as inviting Reset Robot, Gary Beck, Skream, Darius Syrossian, and Sasha to be a part of their ever-growing family. 2019 is set to be the biggest year yet, with Alan Fitzpatrick’s Day just around the corner and more planned label showcases than ever before.

‘Poison’ was a vocal smash hit last year from Croydons finest – Skream. He’s teamed up with a UK duo who are already regulars on his imprint, as well as Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains – Melody’s Enemy.

‘This Is It’ the lead track, has a story. On a flight to play a festival in Germany, the guys decided on a concept to record Ollie, get a recording that showed a slice of who he really is, what he's all about. “We did wonder if he'd go for it actually, and we sprung it on him unawares on the day he came to our studio - but true to form, he was up for it in an instant!” adds Melody’s Enemy.

A full-on futuristic acid hook, with a driving energetic bassline sitting alongside Ollie’s spoken words which weave in and out between the synth and groove. This is MEGA!

Given the title, ‘5am’ is a bit more of a straight up banger, with its low end kicks and tight punctuation, pads glide through the track along the main rave inspired synth. “Ollie sent us a hook and parts from something he'd been working on. And we went to town on it. The motive here was maximum dance damage’.

"Salvation" - the title track - turns out to be a beautiful entry point to Ann's three-piece EP. The dark and melancholic atmosphere with hypnotizing pad sounds combined with a forward pressing percussion arrangement offers the listener a tunnel vision that will lead into a total loss of time.

Not just since her mindblowing track "Calling It" had been released on Ann's last EP, she clearly seems to have acquired a taste for blowing Techno lover's socks off. "Mr. Pink" is a mean and ruthless Techno banger that will take the dancefloors around the globe by storm.
