A Christmas gift to all my students! The first half of this meditation is a grounding meditation. After that, we practice finding something enjoyable in experience – something real and authentic which feels pleasant, good (or even just okay). And by giving that our mindful awareness, we become more attuned to pleasant experiences, more likely to find them coming naturally into our lives. And we learn how to rest in our experience, and to trust it.

Enjoyment Meditation - 1

This meditation is about finding a place in our bodies, thoughts and feelings, where we feel at home. It's when we're grounded and at home in ourselves that we can feel grounded and at home in the world. Don't worry if this doesn't happen all at once. Meditating is a practice, and by genuinely following along to the meditation, it gradually has an effect – if not in the meditation practice itself, then at some point afterwards, in the coming days. As we explore how to find our feet literally, in the meditation, so we can find our feet more and more fully in our lives – 'finding our feet, finding ourselves'.
