One summer day in 2021, Amy and Dave met up in a café in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. They talked about their musical projects and the idea of Maurice was born. Amy chose the name, which refers to the lyrics from "Space Cowboy" by Steve Miller Band. After a few days, Amy played her compositions for Dave and he added his magical arranging powers to the mix. They were missing a drummer, so they asked Juan Carlos to join them. At one of their first concerts, Juan Pablo volunteered to take care of the mixing desk and soon found his place as a bass player. Claire is the last one to join the band and brings to the group her perfect ear and her passion for creating amazing melodies.


Un jour d'été 2021, dans un café du 6e arrondissement de Paris, Amy et Dave se rencontrent. Ils parlent de leurs projets musicaux et c’est là où l'idée de Maurice est née. Le nom, choisi par Amy, fait référence à un texte de la chanson "Space Cowboy" de Steve Miller Band. Au bout de quelques jours, Amy montre ses compositions à Dave, dans lesquelles il ajoute ses pouvoirs magiques d'arrangeur. Il manquait quelqu'un qui donne le rythme, c’est pourquoi ils ont demandé à Juan Carlos de les rejoindre à la batterie. Lors d'un de leurs premiers concerts, Juan Pablo se porte volontaire pour s'occuper de la table de mixage et trouve rapidement sa place en tant que bassiste. Claire est la dernière à se joindre au groupe et apporte au groupe son oreille parfaite et sa passion pour la création de mélodies étonnantes.
