The time is here. A new Jon of the Shred album will soon be released. This one has a pretty unique blend of stuff. But if I had to create an over-the-top genre tag...probably synthwave dubstep psytrance metal. Maybe throw a "filmscore" at the start of that.

These songs are a collection of unreleased tracks, or tracks that were released in unorthodox fashions. (Youtube and Soundcloud uploads, for example.) They were recorded from the time of 2009 through 2015. That's 7 years of my life as a musician, composer, engineer, and producer. It's quite a varied playlist, and I hope people enjoy this journey through my mind as a musician throughout the years.

I put a bit of a fresh 2016 sheen over the top (simple, light mastering) to give the songs a more cohesiveness beyond just the fact it's all from the same mind. You can tell the tracks have a common thread of inspiration – cinematic elements, psychedelic horror sound design, and the nod to soundtracks both orchestrated and synthesized.

Jules and Malte are two brothers from another mother. While separated during their childhood they discovered music.
