Mystic Hope

Song I learned at the North Park College Festival in the spring of 1972.  Was reminded of this song because of the spiritual awakening that happened on the North Park campus that year.  The recent Asbury University revival is so encouraging to see and I pray for it to spread world-wide.

Gonna Change Your Heart

This is a song I co-wrote with Debbie Ayers (now Debbie Ayers-Cox) when I toured with New Hope back in the late 70's.  It was recorded for our album on the Tempo Records label and distributed both in the U.S. and in Europe. The album cover with the mother goose and geese following her was distributed only in Europe and illustrates the theme of the song "Blessed Be the Children" very well. The song is based on the Biblical passage in Matthew 19:14: "Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

New Hope

Song recorded by New Hope and inspired by the story of Corrie ten Boom and her family as they helped shelter Jews in the Netherlands during the holocaust during WWII.  Speaks of the sheltering and sustaining care and hope found in God during the most severe of trials - "There is no pit so deep, that God's love is not deeper still."
