Any artist is welcome to send us a track via freshonthenet.co.uk anytime between Monday lunchtime and Wednesday evening (or when we receive 200 submissions, whichever is sooner) - and all our moderators, including Tom Robinson, will listen to every track. This is our full inbox from the week beginning Mon 27th October 2025: from Friday afternoon you'll be able to hear our shortlist and pick your favourites on this week's Listening Post which will appear at freshonthenet.co.uk/batch587

If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks (and remixes of tracks) that have been previously submitted, and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

Christmas songs and the like are also not eligible for the Listening Post, although we will collect these into a playlist that will be published on 24 December.

Heart 2 Heart

Deep Dark Blue is a love letter to Lisbon and the lyrics are inspired by Lord Byron's poem "Childe Harold." It centres around the idea of nature enduring all, sometimes even human connection, and acts as a backdrop for Carson's delicate ability to balance instrumentation creating a lavish sonic tapestry that ebbs and flows like the Tagus on a pebble strewn Lisbon beach.



This track features vocals and lyrics by Portuguese aritst Daniela Galhoz



Deep Dark Blue is a stand alone single and will be released on all streaming platforms (except Spotify, because Daniel Ek shouldn't be taking all our money and investing it in AI bombs) on November 4th.

DARSY (Darina Markova) is a Bulgarian-born, London-based singer-songwriter, performer, and BA (Hons) Musical Theatre student at the Cambridge School of Creative Industries, UK. In 2025, she debuted as a BBC Introducing artist, with her songs catching the attention of BBC Radio 1 producers and landing on major international playlists. A member of the Recording Academy’s GRAMMY® U New York Chapter, two of her songs were officially entered on the GRAMMY® ballot 2026, considered in two categories during the first-round voting. Her debut EP REPLAY (March 2025) premiered at London’s 93 Feet East, followed by her first solo concert at Bulgaria’s Club Stroeja—a defining career milestone. A triple-threat performer, DARSY has starred in leading roles across musicals in the UK and Bulgaria. At her graduation, she received the ACS 2024 Arts Award. This year, she was selected for the Eurovision Berlin Song Fest 3, affirming her rise on the international stage.
