Horizon Dub

A young robot is salvaged from a post-apocalyptic world. Confused, and trying to make sense of what he’s hearing and seeing, he begins a spiritual journey as he tries to understand his new reality.

Set to a fat 808 driven beat, with strong classic electro influences, elements of tech house and even dubstep. Orchestral, bass-heavy, and futuristic, infusing the chatter of alien robots with English hook elements that will reveal different meanings to different listeners.

Mile High Funk is dedicated to the memory of Gregory Coleman - drummer of The Winstons (creator of the Amen Break) and Travis "Storm" Edwards of Satin Storm who was instrumental in shaping the sound of early Drum and Bass/Jungle. I was a member of Satin Storm back in the early 90s, when Travis died last year from dementia related complications I decided to dedicate a song to him. 100% of proceeds go to charity for dementia and homelessness.
