Coastal State Of Mind: Volume 1

"FORTITUDE” (Stylized in all caps) is the fourth studio album by American hip-hop artist KiDD Thomas. It’s title directly describes the virtue of which the album circulates around: fortitude, which means staying strong in the face of adversity and choosing to give every bit of one’s effort in a desire to achieve the best outcome. Sonically, the album explores all of the boundaries of Hip-hop, and is very heavily influenced by Christian values. It builds off of the concepts explored in both “THE ENDURANCE” and “Coastal State Of Mind: Volume 1”, while incorporating a more mature, determined tone, as well as a more polished sound.

Prior to the release of the album, KiDD Thomas compiled together a set of each of the 3 singles and 2 previously-unreleased songs into a 5-track warm-up EP under the title "FROM DARKNESS INTO LIGHT". The EP was released on May 4, 2024, and features a guest appearance from fellow American rapper R.T..
