Mr. Len's scratch solo in Company Flow's video for "End to End Burners" literally awakened a monster in him. Inspired by this, B-Ju bought a DJ set in his teens and got deeper and deeper into the world of turntablism. Since the money wasn't always enough for the latest scratch records, he eventually started producing his own beats, arranging his own tracks and performing with them. On the one hand, at DJ battles, where, among other things, he won the European championship with his team "Interplay" at the Diversidad Battle and took part in the DMC World Championship in London 2008. On the other hand, the Frankfurt native has played in clubs and festivals such as London, Berlin, Cologne, Leipzig, Lyon, Vienna, Brussels, Bourges, Rome, Bucharest, Pape (Lithuania) or Salmo (Canada). At the same time, B-Ju released his first tracks on Error Broadcast and Dirtybird, as well as official remixes for Alt-J and Everything Everything, which have been picked up by the likes of Gilles Peterson (played his track on BBC Radio 1), Claude VonStroke ('My Sneakers’ is my favourite track of the moment), Yuksek (Winner of the' Extraball' remix contest), Tim Green ("Great release!"), Roska ("Sick EP!"), Untold ("'Say what' is big!"), Teki Latex ("Brilliant release, I like all the tracks in here.") and many others.

"Because of the harbour, Hamburg is also called the gateway to the world. As someone who moved here from Hesse and likes to be surrounded by mountains, I have always found this description pretentiously romanticising. The idea of living in a city that plays host to the entire globe only appeals to me when night falls. When the disreputable glamour of the red mile is shrouded in a swathe of mist, when the fish market falls silent along with its dead sea creatures and all you can hear is the sound of the churning waves making their way along the Elbe to the open sea. Inspired by many electronic greats, alias_j comes to the fore with an invigorating sonic palate - spanning the realms of Melodic House & Techno and Breaks. 

His unique and melodically-charged sonic identity has seen him frequent club spaces across the globe throughout the years. Shows in San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Amsterdam, London, Warsaw, Moscow & St. Petersburg being major highlights; understandably, this has allowed him to play alongside some of the biggest names in the industry - including Sasha, John Digweed, Moby, James Zabiela, Deep Dish & Paul Van Dyke. His impressive prior resume is something alias_j has all the credentials to emulate and surpass. 

Building on over two decades of label operation, Jon already has some exciting releases locked in with prominent labels under his alias_j persona - including his debut release on Pig&Dan's revered ELEVATE imprint. He also hosts a regular monthly mix series called 'Lock & Key', which is growing in popularity and serves as a platform to showcase his work & promote other artists/labels. 

alias_j is on the front foot and armed with an ever-growing pipeline of releases and gigs - as he aims to put decades of high-level industry experience to good effect and regenerate his standing within the scene under an already impressive new guise. '
