This is a voice (and SFX) demo for my character 'Yuto Yoruba' that I created before the "Neighborhood Supers" were a thing and I refined the character. Enjoy!

SCRIPT AND TRANSCRIPTION:

Setting: „Stereotypical“ dark lair scene (kind of like a medieval prison with a metal cage in it). Water is constantly dripping down in the distance.

Characters:

Dr. Kurongiri (talks to Yuto over a speaker first, comes into the „prison room“ later)
Yuto Yoruba - Ace Detective, enhanced human. The Dr. is his „long-time rival“.

*touches aching head*
y: ugh… what happened?
*looks around*
y: w-what is this place? How did I end up in a dump like this? How did I even get here?

/voice from speaker kicks in/ (switch to higher pitched voice)

K: Well, well… is our snow-white finally awake? Great.
K: Phew… I was almost afraid that idiot of a thug drugged you too hard.
K: We almost lost you a few times there, so you should be thanking me for taking care of you. *sinister laugh*

y: Yare-yare… here we go again (slightly bored).
y: Hello, Dr. Kurongiri! I hope you’ve been enjoying the nice weather we had during the last two weeks.
y: Is this one of your „unfailable“ plans again? Well, guess what: Count. Me. Out.
y: Next time tough, try to restrain me with something stronger than those sad excuses for chains, won't cha?
y: If you don’t mind /prepares to break chains/ - I’ll see *grunt* myself off now *grunt*
y: *Grunts* What the...? I can’t move a limb anymore. N-no!

K: Huh? What’s this? Having sudden trouble breaking those wimpy chains, Yuto?
K: A strong guy like you should break free with ease. *maniacal, mocking laughter*

K: Oh, right. I totally forgot to tell you the best part of my plan…
K: While you were busy with your little return to dreamland, I - erm - IMPROVED your nanomachines and the bionics in your body.

y: What? What have you done!? Hnnnnngh! /Desperately trying to move/ *grunting* (angry/desperate voice)
y: Get your ass down here, so I can slap that grin out of your ugly face! (angry)

K: As you wish, Princess! *short laughter*

/Steps on a metallic surface can be heard, Dr. Kurongiri steps in front of Yuto’s cage/

K: All righty. Here I a-am! Slap away Mr. Strongman *mocking laughter*

y: Curse you, you human abomination.

K: Uh, someone is sour…
K: I didn’t do anything too fancy there. I just rewired them (the bionics) a bit and disconnected them from that stubborn brain of yours. (emphasize the word „stubborn“)

y: I see. (calm and collected again)
y: You’re becoming quite the big-time villain Doctor, aren’t you? (sarcastic voice).
y: I’m DYING to see who’s going to have the last laugh in this story.

K: Yikes, did no one ever tell you that words can hurt too?
K: Oh well, I don’t have to deal with your cockiness anymore. You’ll be my slave in no time. (amused)
K: After all those years. Ace Detective Yuto Yoruba is finally under my control. *laughter* *pauses* What a great day for crime *maniacal laughter*
