This is a full reimagining of the Dragonlord theme from the 1986 NES game Dragon Warrior (Dragon Quest).  This theme plays when you fight the final boss, the Dragonlord.  I made this arrangement for a Minecraft adventure map called Alefgard that is based on Dragon Warrior.

The end title music from the first Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior) game released on NES in 1986.  This is my orchestral arrangement of Koichi Sugiyama's theme from the end of the game.

This is my orchestral cover of another one of my favorite film scores of all time: the Overture from the movie Stargate.  This was composed by David Arnold.  

I challenged myself to make it sound as much like the original as I could.  The main sample libraries used were Spitfire's BBC Symphony Orchestra and EastWest's Hollywood Orchestra.  

For the choir part at the end I combined several tracks of EastWest Hollywood Choirs and Symphonic Choirs using the wordbuilder tool.  Then I layered in about 100 tracks of my own voice singing various parts for added realism.

Stargate Overture - Orchestral Cover

I made this as a demo for a virtual choir instrument that I made.  My new house had a lot of natural reverb.  So I recorded myself multiple times from different rooms with microphones on the opposite side of the house.  Then I mixed together each recording into a choir and brought all the samples into the Decent Sampler application.

For this piece, I played a chord pattern using the choir and added other instruments that complimented the chords.

I had a vision of the Gregorian choir from the Halo Theme singing O Come O Come Emmanuel.  This is that vision.  Kind of like if Christmas happened during a space battle.

This is the first track of a musical suite I am writing to prepare themes for the Black Marsh/Argonia region of the Beyond Skyrim game mod.

Song of Argonia musically retells the history of Tamriel from the perspective of Argonia and the Saxhleel people.  This part represents the beginning of the Dawn Era when Mundus is created by the Aedra.

Star Trek 6 has the best opening music of the franchise, in my opinion.  This is my orchestral cover of this opening overture composed by Cliff Eidelman.  All instruments are either from Spitfire Audio's BBC Symphony Orchestra or EastWest's Hollywood Orchestra.

This is my prediction of what Atreus' musical theme will sound like in the upcoming God of War Ragnarok.  In the 2018 game he was one of the only characters to not get a theme.  I figure his time has come.  I sussed out clues and merged some existing ideas to compose a theme for Atreus that aspires to the level of the music that came before.

While writing music for Argonia in Beyond Skyrim I end up writing a lot of "exploration" pieces.  I don't mean exploration music for when you are exploring in the game.  I simply mean exploring different musical ideas, moods, and instrument combinations.  Some of them are just fragments used to inform other pieces.  But some of them come together into a full piece, like this one.  This won't get used in this form, but a lot of the musical ideas in this one will probably make it into the mod somewhere. Argonia

Black Marsh Exploration #1 (Beyond Skyrim Argonia)

This is part of a musical suite written to prepare for music that will be created for the Elder Scrolls mod, Beyond Skyrim.  This is for the Argonia/Black Marsh region.

My plan is to write this musical suite and then use the themes I develop as the foundation for the in-game music that I will create later.

Song of Argonia is a musical suite that represents the history of Tamriel from the perspective of Argonia.  This part, "The Hist," musically represents the mysterious Hist trees that govern Black Marsh and stand in as gods for the native Argonians.  I wanted to mix the natural and the ethereal.  The holy and the otherworldly.  The Hist are both timeless and physical.  Their true motives are veiled.

This is an homage to Howard Shore's Shire theme from Lord of the Rings.  I took inspiration from the instruments and the structure of his piece "Concerning Hobbits" and developed a new theme.  Perhaps this would be the music accompanying one of the neighboring towns of the Shire like Michel Delving or Hardbottle.

I made this music for a video essay I posted on YouTube.  I tried to take all of the features of Gustavo Santaolalla's musical style heard in the game and the show and emulate them to make some new music that sounds like it came from the game/show.

In The Style of The Last Of Us

Made for the Minecraft Middle Earth server for the area in and around the West Gate of Moria-- Durin's Gate where the Fellowship of the Ring entered the mountains on their journey toward Mordor.  This track represents Moria/Khazad Dum in both its once greatness and its fallen ruin.

This is the full soundtrack of the 2003 short film "Blood Runs Cold."  It is a suspense-thriller loosely based on The Telltale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe.  I wrote the original score in a home studio with a single Yamaha keyboard.  To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the film I re-orchestrated and re-recorded the full score.

There's an easter egg in God of War Ragnarok where you find some graffiti that says "I bless the rains of Vanaheim."  This immediately came into my head and I started to record it.  This ones for all the Toto fans and all the God of War fans and their mightily blessed cross-section.

I arranged lines from some of Tom Bombadil's songs into an irish folk style song.  Tom Bombadil is a character from The Fellowship of the Ring.  The lyrics are from the book, written by J.R.R. Tolkien.  I image this as something the Hobbits might sing together at the town tavern.

My kids and I recorded a cover of Wayfaring Stranger, an old folk/gospel song. This arrangement was based on the version recorded by Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker for The Last Of Us Part 2 soundtrack.

This is the first part of some intro music I am writing.  I wanted to test out some ideas for a choir vocal part.  The ending isn't a real ending yet, it will transition into a new section.

This is the classic Christmas song "I Saw Three Ships" arranged in the style of old Hollywood Western films.  Specifically in the style of Aaron Copland.  It's also a mashup with two of Copland's famous pieces: "Hoe-Down" from his ballet "Rodeo," and "Simple Gifts."
