This Journey

Based in the Cotswolds and the South West of England, Dozy Boi is a lofi hip hop producer and writer that started making music in the form of orchestral composition for film and media in 2013. The lockdown that was put in place to fight back against Coronavirus has effected all of us in vastly different ways. Dozy Boi’s response was to seek out calm and hold an idea of paradise in his mind. This resulted in the making of his new debut album called Here, releasing 19.06.2020. 
These 9-tracks take the listener on a captivating sequential journey of relaxation and calming imagination.

Inspired by artists such as Beowülf and dryhope, Dozy Boi voices his own new exploration of the genre of lofi hip-hop. Ranging from minimalist at times to deeply textured and full at others, lazy rhythms set the scene for colourful piano/guitar melodies to transform the room around you into a calming and warm oasis of reassurance and relaxation.
