Our very own Irene J. Eileen has been making the most of time spent at home. Case in point: he’s back for another mix in our shortmix series. With releases on clipp.art and Dishevelled London, Irene J. Eileen’s introspective, swirling lo-fi production has commanded its own space in a crowded genre. His diverse chops resist any kind of pigeonholing, however, as a forthcoming free download release with Extra Spicy shows off breaks and glistening synths that will no doubt be the soundtrack to countless Sydney dancefloor revivals.

This mix shows an artist with a foot in both the melancholy and the ecstatic. Late night house thumpers intertwine with energetic electro and breaks – dipping into true hypnotic moments before bouncy, bass heavy grooves pull you out of your own head and back onto the sweaty dancefloor.
