Invent and „REINVENT YOURSELF“ - probably the most important thing for an artist. With this in mind we want to introduce you to a brand new musical project with name BIONYK.

As the name (BIONYK) already suggests, the idea is to fuse organic sounds with technological expertise and shift our focus towards a more balanced and benevolent exchange with nature. Because mankind lost its touch not just with nature but with itself. What was supposed to bring us closer together, is now just another device dividing us. The contributing artists came together to provide a source of meaningful and unique music to a consistently vibrant DnB community. While our world is on the path to total pandemonium at a frightening pace, BIONYK is set out to achieve a harmonious mixture of musical elements you usually would not associate with each other. Especially in Drum and Bass productions.

BIONYK is therefore not only a project, but an attempt to redirect our energies towards what really matters in life:
Creativity, Authenticity, Humanity. All coming together as music of the highest quality. 💯

Warfare Recordings finally presents its return to the Drum and Bass scene, following a long and unanticipated period of silence, that lasted more than 3 years. For our next installment we reveal to You our new concept series, entitled “Sofia Underground EP”. The main idea behind it being to feature both new and already established producers, hailing from our hometown of Sofia, Bulgaria.

In this first edition of the series, we feature a massive 3-track release, produced by some of our inner circle artists - Xylophobe, D-Mental and Faith. The release also serves to commemorate the loss of our friend and brother in arms  Xylophobe, real name Alexander Kovachev, who passed away in a tragic accident on the 7-th of October 2019. Although he remained relatively unknown to the general DnB population during his lifetime, he managed to leave a huge legacy of both finished and unfinished Drum and Bass masterpieces, the majority of which are to be featured on our future releases.

Deafened by the noise of the conveyor belt and the heavy machinery operating on it, I try to search for my way to the engine room. The air is filled with thick smoke and blazing embers that fill my eyes with fire and tears. Then I see it. Lit by the molten metal gushing down the foundry in the distance - the door. Now or never. I gasp for the remaining oxygen and rush through the impenetrable fog while my feet burn on the scorched charcoal. The vapors are poisoning my lungs as I try to navigate through the hell lit by the dancing fiery demons projected into the mist around me,. With my hands, I sweep the glowing walls until I reach it. I open the hatch, dropping to my knees. With my last bits of adrenaline and strength, I crawl to the lever. Pull. Then darkness. The final sequence has been initiated. The subjects have been REFORGED.

Everyone keeps secrets, everyone lies, and most even steal when the situation abides. Sins like these, small as they are, are an integral part of the human condition. I should know. It’s my job to investigate these things after all. I look past the lies, peer into the secrets and see the sins of all who come under my gaze, scrutinizing them from the impunity of my position and doling out the requisite punishments appropriately. It’s a fortunate position that I find myself in, for otherwise I would be counted well within the ranks of those whom I investigate.

My sins arise in the oddest of places, seeping through the walls I place around them. I take every effort to keep them controlled, locked up tightly with the key thrown away. But there is another essence inside me, one that must sometimes come out to play. Its hunger is ravenous and fed only by violence, and it drives me to madness within a crimson haze. Rising unpredictably, it bursts from its cage with ferocity as it takes control of my mind. Under its influence I am twisted & torn, a terrifying beast of malice and rage. Those around me are forfeit whether friend or foe, for the beast knows no such distinctions when it overtakes me. I wake from such moments with faint memories clouded still by that red mist, only to find the appalling truth surrounding me at every term. The word now spreads of a monstrous man, who roams the streets slaying with reckless abandon. Its this man I now track, the task of my job, but what they do not know is that the MONSTER INSIDE was me all along.

SMOOTH (also one part of TELEKINESIS) makes his solo EATBRAIN debut with the MONSTER INSIDE EP featuring four fiendish tracks in his signature style. ROLY-POLY opens the EP with a devious rolling bassline interspersed with powerful horn blasts and boisterous vocal shots. RIDE OUT features the vocal tones of MC COPPA for a quickly accelerating tune that peaks with the metallic pulsations of its bassline and rapid fire percussion in a devastating flurry. MONSTER INSIDE darkens the tone of its predecessor, with its sinister pads providing the backing for a grinding bassline that slithers through the track’s low end, whilst DEVILS HEAD amplifies this atmosphere, maintaining its sinister elements while pushing them into overdrive for a furious finale to the EP. With the MONSTER INSIDE EP, SMOOTH lands his unique sound on EATBRAIN with a devious work sure to resonate with the EATBRAIN horde.
