Wake me is a song about coming to terms with life and the people you need to let go of. Not everyone is good for you or you for them. It is literally waking up from toxic behaviors of others who are weighing heavily on you. It is sitting in solitude during those moments and lying in your bed at night looking for different avenues of venting and introspection to hopefully find peace.

Working on the soundtrack of Dimension Slip was an interesting challenge, and I was glad to have composer Marco Werba walk through this process with me. We wanted to make sure that the audience would be able to experience a range of emotions through the film while at the same time staying true to our story and maintaining a tone that would resonate with it. We playfully explored our theme song through different instruments to achieve this, and I think it was a simple but powerful way to strengthen the story we are telling.
