A broken boy conjures his courage up
Apprehensive, am I good enough
To doubt and question
Truth of existence
Timid hands and the brine
Crossing all the state lines

And so I heard you say 
Have a happy death day
Spiral to eternity 
Like we all have lost our way

The darkest place
That light cannot escape
Clashing with my demons 
They show me my own face

A broken pace
Full of sterilized exchanges
Mindless automation
The senseless human race 

I’m not afraid
Of entering that death gate

The burdens I create

A bifurcated focus
Subtle moments impacting fate
Embracing every ache
