What happens when producers face the challenge of reimagining the tracks of other producers? Remixes EP is not something new. Nonetheless, we've been thinking about how interesting it would be to offer this thought-provoking such thing on our catalogue. Then for our newest release, the experimental-sounds-rock-climber-avid-traveler-outdoor-enthusiast Nathan Hall(@nathanhall-1) has hand picked three heavenly producers to remix tracks from his debut EP: Squamish. It still remains as a small escape from thoughts, a heavily effected one-off adventure. This time around, however, under heady doses of mind-blowing "re-configurations".

The collection features three unique reworkings. EP's first track “DuaDua“, reworded by Discoshaman (@discoshaman), struts a playful spirit that rules an interesting mood .The “Viento del Bosque” remix on the EP was done masterfully by Stephen Kirchhoff (@steffenkirchhoff) who creates a mystery-inside-you atmosphere revision, everything in its right place. For gentle night listening, “Night Wind” is remixed by Temple(@tmplsound), we can see slowness insights around every corner. The whole package will draw attention to unadvised listeners and, also, it is constructed like a outlook that weaves and unweaves the captive listener's ears.

Melbourne has a knack for breeding and nurturing unique electronic music and this man is no exception. After almost ten years in the game, four EP's and two albums, he emerges again with his third full length offering, Aerial One, this time on his own label Corymbia Recordings. Known for his unique style, this new album contains just that - an eclectic blend of the acoustic and the electronic, a hard to pigeon hole sound best described as 'just music.' Omerar Nanda is a Producer and Dj from Turkey. His music ranges through all tempos always conjunct in the purpose to shake your soul and excite your mind. In his tracks he uses the sounds of ethnic world instruments.

Omerar Nanda essentialy takes music as one of the central themes of his life and rooted in the sounds and philosophies of a new tecnological and social era, He certainly did not skimp on the effort to incorporate traditional ethnic folk rhythms into a contemporary electronic music.

Rabih Rizk (@rabihrizk) is a committed DJ, producer and a dreamer that developed his love to music at a very young age when he found out that music is the most essential link between body and soul. Rabih is keen on injecting his cultural heritage into is DJ sets and productions, but insisting on keeping his style versatile and open. Residing in Beirut, a landmark in electronic music, he's been playing across all the main venues in his hometown sharing the booth with a handful of his artists heroes.

Our 107th edition was recorded in his humble home studio in Beirut while surrounded by his family, friends and his lovely newborn nephew who brought peace and joy throughout the whole process. It was influenced by sounds of Beirut in general and B018 where in particular Rabih played a set the night before and goes further by delivering a huge amount of energy, since he digs deep to reveal some gems. Shall we?

Arutani - Oh Ah

After contributing a remix to the first EP of his buddy AVEM on Heimlich Musik, Basel based wunderkind Arutani releases three original Tracks with remixes by GYRL and Dolph as the third EP on the Viennese imprint. The melody of the title track “Pendulum“ rises as a climax from playful percussions wandering around the beat construct. By adopting the main theme and adding energetic drums, Dolph transforms the dreamy original mix into a club tool for later (or early morning) hours. „Dorian“ comes along with an acid-line as a driving element carrying away trippy vocals and breaky beats resulting in melancholic synth pads. Slowmotion-heroes GYRL from Leipzig used their unique mighty drumming to make it clear from the first moment on that you are listening to one of their remixes. Combined with selected elements from the original the result is an absolute banger that makes every sound system happy. „Kids from the past“ appears as an homage to earlier days using disco-influenced pads as a reference to the 80s. Although one has not heard Arutani giving his track a disco-touch very often, the unique sound-design reflects Arutani’s current work and provides this track with a modern touch to serve as the grand final of the EP.
