This workbook is the third in a series being developed in partnership with Séliš-Ql̓ispé Culture Committee, Salish Kootenai College, The Salish Institute & Nk̓ʷusm. The series is designed to help take students of Salish language from beginner to fluent speaker in an efficient, sequenced and predictable manner.
Snʔawʔawtn 1: A Beginning Course in Salish & Qlispe Dialect, Lessons 1-45 S&Q Version has been adapted from the qlispé snuwewlštn, Beginning Salish 1 (Kalispel dialect). The overall organization and curricular approach of this book is based on the nsəlxcin language text, nsəlxcin 1: A Beginning Course in Colville-Okanagan Salish by Samtíc̓aʔ (Sarah) Peterson with LaRae Wiley and Christopher Parkin.
We would like to thank first the Creator and our Ancestors for everything they have passed down to us.
