taking a walk at night inside the computer

A memory at ten.
Two shadows stood by the lakeside.
The cold air brushed my cheek,
and the sunset on the water
burned as if aflame.

My father said: Do something for others.
Even when you are gone,
people will remember
what you gave.

Nine years later, my father passed away suddenly,
and now I have already outlived
the years he was given.

His words still drift across
the twilight water,
shimmering like a ghost
that will not fade.

十歳の記憶。
湖のほとりに佇むふたつの影。
冷たい空気が頬を撫で、
水面に映る夕陽は燃えるようだった。

父は言った──「人のために何かをしなさい。
お前がいなくなっても、
人はお前が与えたものを思い出す。」

九年後、父は急逝し、
わたしも今では彼の生きた歳月を
追い越してしまった。

その言葉は黄昏の湖面に漂い、
幻のように揺らめき続けている。
