Engulfed In Flames

I wrote this song for my wonderful daughter, Courtney, for her 16th birthday. Courtney chose this song for our daughter/father dance at her wedding. I was living in Colorado when I wrote this, so you'll notice the visuals in the lyrics. I played acoustic guitar and sang lead, then sang my own background vocals and recorded some lead licks on my Telecaster. Another song based on a Facebook friend recommendation.  I have no idea who she is but she was very pretty!  That inspired the hook.  That allowed me to take a guitar intro and verses that I'd had for years- from different song bits lol!- and never been able to do anything with and glom them all together into one!  I like how it changes keys seamlessly.  I think key and timing changes are things songwriters don't use enough.
