We're very proud to announce the release of S.O.N.S' complete 7-hour vinyl set, which was recorded at 宀 for the February 2024 edition of VG+.

S.O.N.S, real name Tim, is pushing the vinyl format throught his adventurous DJ sets and his record store Junction in Seoul, South Korea. Having settled in the city more than 10 years ago, he has been part of the local electronic music community development and is currently resident DJ of the reknowned Ring club, at the heart of the Itaewon District.With several well received records under different aliases (Dj Jacuzziy, SYO...) and collaborations (Forest Witches, Giorgio Celeste & The Cobra) mostly self released on his own labels, he divides his time between making music in the studio, caring for the customers in the store, and digging compulsively for new yet unearthed music.

MIX060 - S.O.N.S [Live At VG+] (首爾)

An edit of a track I’ve returned to with fresh ears. Schubbern was originally released in 2002 on the German label Salo. I picked up the record years ago for the A-side, J.O.G., but during a recent house move I ended up revisiting the B-side and found something else in it. 

Neal White’s early output has always resonated with me, stripped, percussive, and with all the subtleties to keep you engaged. I’ve collected all his early releases, and this one in particular felt like it had room for a slight shift in tone. 

This version keeps the original low-end intact, but introduces a lighter, more ethereal atmosphere. The idea of a “dawn edit” is exactly that: early morning, stillness in motion, a shared space with familiar people as the sun begins to caress the horizon at the beginning of a new day.
