I wrote this song after reading my favourite book 1984. I was very intrigued by the moral authority that was displayed through that book and felt very inspired.

Distracted

When I was young the stories of war always compelled me in a very solemn way. The story that stuck with me most was one starring my own Great Grandfather and the notorious Canadian battle of Vimy Ridge. After the war my great grandfather was no longer the same man that left my family those years before, he was different. When he was shaving one night, after WW1 had ended, he saw the number 99 in his sink and to him this number signified the Devil of war. I believe coming home from war would be a terrible thing, and my understanding is that it follows you.

This track is about the modern desire to be famous and rich. In short, this song is about a constant lust for profit, and doing anything for fame and money.
