The Underground Rainbows’ newest release, 2022’s full length album “Under Your Bed,” is the biggest and most dynamic album to date. The thirteen tracks include a wide-range of original songs written between 1997 and 2022, reggae-style covers of The Misfits, Nirvana, Joe Jackson, and Local H, as well as an over the top rendition of Brian Eno’s Mother Whale Eyeless. Featuring distorted guitars, scorching solos, punk rock beats, ska riffs, bluegrass breakdowns, and psychedelic folk, “Under Your Bed” is as diverse and mysterious as the clutter that lurked under Eamon’s actual childhood bed.

Mr. Wunder and His Trampoline Gun

The Underground Rainbows are proud to announce the release of THE HARBOR SONG, the new single for the month of June. It is a song about enjoying a moment of peace and tranquility in an ocean breeze and it has a very long and rich history in the annals of my personal and musical life. 

Growing up in the beautiful town of Atlantic Highlands, NJ, I was fortunate to spend a giant chunk of my youth being around the harbor, whether it was playing roller hockey with all of my friends in the commuter parking lot or fishing and cruising out into the ocean.

During the summer of the year 2000, I purchased a golden-colored stratocaster guitar from the Guitar Center on route 18 near Rutgers. While I was in the store trying out different guitars, I picked this particular one up and started playing the melody to THE HARBOR SONG for the very first time. There was instant magic happening and I knew I had found my guitar, (which is now owned by my brother-in-law, Neal). 

THE HARBOR SONG made its live debut later that summer on 8/7/00 in the Atlantic Highlands Municipal Harbor with my college band, Chemo and the Insecticides. Throughout the years 2000-2004, it saw a regular rotation in set lists as I cut my teeth performing live. My good friend Jason Martinetti, my first producer, helped me record a demo version of this song in January 2003, but that was the only “official” recording. It has been played a total of twenty-five times in the last twenty-three years, most recently making its debut for The Underground Rainbows on 7/17/21, opening the show at The Holy Ghost Distillery in White Haven, PA. 

The newly released version was originally recorded in 2020 during quarantine, but ultimately lay dormant in a file that I couldn’t open because of some technology nonsense. It was recovered earlier this year and the final touches were put on this spring. I would recommend listening to this song in the open air with headphones on. There are a ton of little nuances I added in the hopes of lifting your spirit on a summer breeze and taking you for a ride before gently laying your feet back on the ground.

The Harbor Song

“Roxiticus: A Choose Your Own Adventure Soundtrack,” was released on November 11, 2019. The album was recorded as the instrumental accompaniment to a choose your own adventure novel that Eamon has written but has still yet to publish. Each song on the album is the musical interpretation of a challenging domain from the story’s manuscript that the adventurer must traverse and conquer.

At Large is the sequel to the song, Dark and Stormy, continuing the tale of the couple who are jewelry store thieves and are on the run from the law while being stranded on an island.
