This track is based on the folk songs and vocal improvisations of the Nivkh people. It is my attempt to explore how the unique and beautiful Nivkh language and songs would sound with alternative arrangements.
The voice recordings for this music were provided by the archives of the Sakhalin Folk Art Center. These are the voices of Lidiya Muvchik, Tatyana Ulita, Antonina Shkalygina, and Analtoliy Kavozg – remarkable representatives of Nivkh culture.
