for the first comment about Nick and the Roman Soldier and the Pharisees view on the Messiah not returning is not just conjecture.. it is based on what we KNOW about the views of the Pharisees and the Messiah in the Talmud, Mishnah and the writings of the Essenes/Qumram...

I did not say fishermen never fought. I said it was not something the Jews were doing for money.  the bible does not teach that Peter or James or any of the Disciples were doing bare knuckle boxing for money.

and later it was shown, they were lying by trying to pretend they were losing, then they would bet more and boom he pulls out a win.  never happened.

resolved. and my point was, non of this was ever said, or taught in the Bible. it is contrary to scripture.  if it was taught in non-bibical sources who cares.
