A huge part of rave history, Rob Fabrie aka The Headbanger aka Waxweazle has been involved in hardcore music since the very start. With releases going back all the way to 1991 as part of Holy Noise (with Paul Elstak) and a massive role in the hardcore scene in Holland throughout the 90s and Millennium all the way to present day, we are extremely excited to bring The Headbanger to Birmingham for the first time. Rob has a mammoth discography of releases including tracks on ID&T, Waxweazle, Pengo, Terror Traxx, Hellsound, Dance International, Megrave, Offensive Recs and many more. Throughout the late 90s and 2000s he remained at the forefront of hardcore music creating tracks like ‘Sweet Dreams You Bastard’, ‘No Law’, ‘Headbanger’s Theme’, ‘Are You Afraid Of The Dark’, ‘Your Mother Sucks C*cks In Hell’ and countless others.

SCOTT BROWN

The man, the myth, the legend! Generally seen as the greatest UK hardcore DJ ever (we tend to agree!), Scott Brown’s legacy goes back over 25 years and he was one of the first UK producers to feature on Dutch albums like Thunderdome. Back home, Scott Brown’s legendary sets throughout the early 2000s nearly always ended with a new, exciting style of hardcore that would send dancefloors bonkers. This slow, pounding gabber was already huge across Europe but Scott was one of the first to play it in England at raves like Slammin Vinyl, Hardcore Heaven, HTID and others, forming a new audience hooked on the Millennium sound. As we absolutely worship Scott at the Chapel we thought it was only right to ask him to play a special extended set of all those 2001-2004 gabber anthems we have grown to love.

Chapel boss Thumpa and the legendary Scorpio go back 2 back for the very first time for a special extended look at the forgotten gems from North. Whether it was at The Void in Stoke on Trent or Lakota in Bristol, North was the breaking ground for many Millennium tracks that would go on to become anthems of these venues. For this set we go back to those early 2000s with a very special set including only the greatest classic and underground tracks from this time.
