444 is an acoustic album created as my graduation project from the Music Technology department at the American University in Cairo. Divided amongst 4 artists, we created 44 minutes of music. It seems like music today has become very virtual, which is why I wanted to make an album that is purely acoustic. I wanted to create something that sounded very raw but polished at the same time. Something that makes you feel like you’re sitting in a bar listening to a musician perform. That’s usually when I connect with an artist the most and that’s what I wanted my album to represent; music in its simplest form, which we tend to forget about as we get wrapped up in the digital revolution.
