The song Grandmother is a prayer to Grandmother Aya. This song is very dear to me. It flowed through me after a powerful ceremony with her medicine. When I come back to this song, it reminds me that there is deep wisdom in the plants that they yearn to share with us at this critical moment for our planet and all life. Wisdom about how we can be as individuals and how we can take action as a collective to create a future that works for all beings of all time.

This video was recorded in Tortugas, Ancash, Perú on December 30th, 2017. It was filmed by the incredible filmmaker and cinematographer Lolo Arias from Lima, Perú (https://www.instagram.com/urizarlolo/). I then edited the video to the music at my studio in San Francisco, CA.

The audio was recorded live on location with a field microphone. Then the additional instrumentation and harmonies were recorded and produced at my home studio in San Francisco, CA to create the final soundtrack. So it's a mix of a live recording and a studio production.

This song is dedicated to Tracy Apple who's Grandmother energy radiates to uplift, inspire, and heal the world around her. Thank you Tracy.
