Quiet Peace 

First sun I cried on bended knee
I heard myself and came to be
separate from heart 

Adoration came for me
My love arrived abundantly
My love stood up so fervently 
And hallowed was her name

She opened joy, she found my hope,
drew me away by fraying rope
paired in formless art

Is that all she said and wrote?
A short remark? A pencilled note?
Yet here I walk with tightening throat
at dusk among the trees
