Can't honestly say I like listening to this. But then again, that's probably the point. Must say, though, that this and similar sections are well made. Very opressive, indeed.

I agree - there is a compression type pulse that pulls the whole track back periodically - maybe an overly sensitive side chain?

This portrays the feeling of not enough air very well.

Pumping again - distracts from the mix - unless it's a deliberate conceptual thing, in which case it works very well.

Interesting bass lead, unfortunately I don't hear the percussions very weakly. My wish: work on the mix for the drums to hear them better. Good luck in the challenge:)

I like stereo flanger(?) feedback sound here,you did a great job of letting it carry this more calm moment and dialing it back when the breathing gets harder

Track made for the 136th iteration of KVR's One Synth Challenge (OSC 136) in June 2020. The only synthesizer used for this song was Odin 2 by The Wave Warden (https://www.thewavewarden.com/). There are 11 instances of the synthesizer in the track.

This is the first time I have tried to build my own sounds from scratch - there is still a lot to learn! Odin 2 seems like a very powerful and easy to use synthesizer, however, so maybe I'll continue to experiment...
