Dreadsquad Sound proudly present their new EP entitled Soulfly, released on their very own label Superfly Studio. The Producer/DJ duo from Poland, mainly known through the mash-up compilations “Play That Blend Vol. 1 & 2” and riddims such as “Screw Dem” and “Question?” digs deeper into the sound of reggae this time - with lots of dub flavor, combined with the soulful voice of Kasia Malenda, one of the most promising Polish female reggae artists of our time.

Dreadsquad – producer/DJ duo created in Lodz in 2001 and consisting of Marek Bogdanski (Selecta MMF: DJ, producer, graphic designer, promoter) and Lukasz Rodziewicz (DJ Funksion). In 2003 and 2004 they won the Polish Sound Clash.

They have cooperated with the cream of the Polish reggae and hip hop scene. So far Dreadsquad instrumentals have been used by such artists as Marika, East West Rockers, Ras Luta, Junior Stress, Kacezet, Natural Dread Killaz, O.S.T.R., Pablopavo, Reggaenerator, Tede, Numer Raz, Grubson and many more.

They have also worked with many European and Jamaican reggae artists (e.g. Ward 21, Tenor Fly, Top Cat, General Levy, U Brown, Milion Stylez, Lady Chann, Tipa Irie, Jah Mason, Perfect, Dr Ring Ding)

Apart from hundreds of gigs in Poland, they have also performed in many European countries (including Portugal, Holland, England, Scotland, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Lithuania) as well as the USA (New York, Miami and Chicago) and Canada (Toronto).
Dreadsquad’s songs and gigs are the fusion of reggae, dancehall, ska, rocksteady and hip-hop. The duo freely mixes genres, plays with sounds and bases their music on deep bass and broken rhythm. They often combine Jamaican music with modern sounds of Breakbeat, Jungle, Dubstep and Garage.
According to the musicians themselves, their music – being energetic and lively – is made for dancing and having fun. And they are right. Go to one of their gigs and you will surely hit the dance floor. Music is their passion, hobby, way of life and it shows.
So far Dreadsquad have released four mixtapes, two full-length producers albums and many vinyl singles which made it into the top of the best dj-shops in Europe.
Dreadsquad’s mash ups can be always found in the record cases of such pieoneers of the genre as J Star, Upstate Rockers, Mr Blennd or even Daddy G [Massive Attack]. They are among a few Polish artists who have been bootlegged abroad - two of their mash ups have been released as 7” single of the unknown origin.

Dreadsquad's output has been prolific but always full of quality. To date, they have released four mixtapes and two albums, in 2005 and 2009, and nine singles between 2009 and 2012, covering an array of genres through both the original tracks and the remixes, cooperating with Reggae and Hip Hop artists from all over the World. As well as performing hundreds of gigs in Poland, they have also played all around Europe and North America.

Early 2012 kicks off with yet a new release, delivering nothing but top quality with 16 tunes as varied as they come! Indeed, The Riddim Machine is as colorful as you may expect it from the lineup of the featured artistes:

True blue Jamaicans such as the "Deejay Daddy" U Brown, Ward 21, Perfect Giddimani and Scarra Mucci are as well representing as Germany's Ska and Dancehall veteran Dr. Ring Ding, the Britain based Lady Chann, El Fata, Tenor Fly and Blackout, and Kasia Malenda, Poland's answer to Adele and Amy Winehouse -- to name but a few.
You will find a dynamic mix of authentic Jamaican riddims and styles with modern bass-heavy genres from a producer at the top of his game -- a variety that spans from old school Ska to the digital computerized style of the eighties and from heavy electronic Dub to rootsy Rock Steady.
On top of that, Dreadsquad shows off amazing remixing skills -- foremost in the atmospheric dubby reworking of the infamous Polish 'suicide tango' To Ostatnia Niedziela, using the vocals of the original 1936 recording by Mieczysław Fogg.

The Dreadsquad sound is always lively and full of energy, making you want to hit the dance floor and have fun -- music is their life and their passion, and you can hear that in the music.

The Riddim Machine is released on digital, vinyl and CD formats on 10/03/2012 through the Superfly Studio label.
