This collaboration with longtime friend & co-producer, Oliwa, features vocal delivery and heartbreakingly beautiful songwriting by Colombian Canadian artist/singer, Lido Pimienta.

Behind the live cumbia rhythms, bass synths, analog keys, 808 drums & guitars, the vision of this track is one of upliftment of womxn and femmes everywhere, and the rise of the energy of the southern hemisphere like a serpent fearlessly rising out of colonization.

Lido Pimienta shines both in her vocal treatment and her ability to poetically and powerfully deliver this message. We offer this as a song of empowerment, anti-establishment, and upliftment for femmes and marginalized peoples everywhere. Time to rise.

One of my favourite Ecstatic Dance sessions I played this year so far - Feels like a good first one to share, following nearly a year of no posts, as I launch my Pro Soundcloud account, moving away from Mixcloud. 

This really was a beautiful & powerful cacao fuelled journey; played live at the Ecstatic Experiences retreat in Devon back in Spring. (next retreat's/weekly dances here: https://linktr.ee/ecstaticdance.uk)

Take a few breathes, have a shake, close your eyes and let the music move you & the ceremony begin. As always with EDance we start grounded and steady, so skip 10-15mins if you wanna get into the beats faster :) 

Note this journey also featured live sound healing to follow, which was not recorded.
