Right from the start this soulful and sensitive piece reaches out and arrested me.  Absolutely beautifully played.  Really wonderful music.

Aeolus II

An improvised composition created whilst experimenting with the Native Instruments Giant VST piano. It seemed to compliment the ideas that were being generated at the time.
Why the title?  I hear the words in the melody, sometimes what seems so important in life and must be achieved suddenly becomes far less important a feeling of liberation.

What Does It Matter Anyway

Warm For Life

As we prepare for the New Year 2025, this beautiful song seems very appropriate.  It is based on a traditional African-American spiritual by A. L. Hatter, thought to be the composer. This is a song of comfort which is based on Psalm 23 and has these words as the refrain: 
"There will be no sorrow there...
We will meet our loved ones there...
We shall meet our Savior there...
He will wipe away ev'ry tear..."
One of the best known and loved arrangements is by Moses Hogan for a choral setting.  I have used the Hogan arrangement as a template for my own piano solo arrangement.
