this was a recording sent to me by an freind who wanted to remain anonymous. this is love recording as it happened.

Seems a little too calm for a pilot who just lost his co-pilot

That air traffic controller completely misunderstood the seriousness of what the pilot was telling him. Doesn’t seem like he even notified anybody after the phone call.

As weird as this entire situation is, the ATC radio communications are more normal than most people might think.  The pilot is focused on flying the airplane by himself in an emergency situation.  Pilots are trained to remain calm in emergencies.
