Personally, I think this design resembles Sonic far more than the one in the movie. Now, that's not me saying the one in the movie sucks. It was amazing and it blew my mind. But in terms of overall similarity, I think that this one would've won the match. Not to mention that even if they didn't use the same voice actor from the games, they'll probably have him in the new show coming to Netflix next year
