This is a little improvisation with vocals on Suexa, my coven of modular and semi-modular synth playmates, recorded direct into my Spire Studio:    
Pamela's New Workout is controlling the many different clocks here.
The bass/percussion is Strega with pitch from 0-ctrl.
The plucked progression is Rings sequenced by Cells. 
The pad under that is a frozen grain from Clouds (sequenced by Pam's)
Both are reverberating through Disting.

Lead vocal and harmony are unprocessed besides some reverb.

The mids and highs are Chainsaw sequenced by Cells and 0-Ctrl and filtered by Disting.

This is a little improvisation on Suexa, my coven of modular and semi-modular synth playmates, recorded direct into my Spire Studio:
Pamela's New Workout is clocking the chaos.
The rhythmic techno chord progression is 0-ctrl is feeding 3 pitches and a sequence to Chainsaw which is getting some delay via Disting.
1 of those pitches is also strumming Rings as the bassline.
The pseudo string section is Strega getting a 4 note sequence from Cells 
Volca Drum is on percussion with some new experiments in probability triggers.

Ending Credits for a Very Happy Movie

Wanted to make something for BenBen (https://www.instagram.com/benbensings) and this soundscape wrote itself into being.

This is a little improvisation on Suexa, my coven of modular and semi-modular synth playmates, recorded direct into my Spire Studio:
I fed Chainsaw some weirdo three-note chords from 0-ctrl and then created a brief loop with that using Disting and then lowered the octave.
I sent that whole loop to Clouds to pick up sub-bass resonance and to Rings for an occasional thump.
I then played Strega "by hand" using Cells as a keyboard.

Cricket In A Volcano

One of the things I love about modular is that the sheer ridiculousness of sounds one is capable of making combined with the playfulness and experimentation that make modules come to life means that humor makes as much sense as a structuring principle as a time progression or key signature.

Pamela's New Workout was, as almost always, clocking the chaos.
Rings was on a percussive bassline, modulated a li'l bit by 0-ctrl  
Synthia (my Korg Minilogue) was actually feeding Chainsaw the primary progression and was also contributing its own patch which rode on top of the Chainsaw progression and played the part of Tweety.
The flying dinosaur was played by Strega with notes fed by 0-ctrl.
Volca Drum is on the beats, but I just pulled up one of stock presets.

Tweety Vs Pterodactyl

Got to see the incredible Steve Roach at Ambient Church's presentation at Church of the Heavenly Rest last night.  Powerful hypnotic stuff that inspired me to come home and play with some deep bass and slow envelopes.

Pamela's New Workout was, as almost always, clocking the chaos.  Pam's 8 arms were all in use managing the filters and envelopes.
Strega is providing the bass and filtering Chainsaw which is being fed a randomized pentatonic minor scale from Pam's.
Rings is chiming in with the chimes, strummed by Pam's.
Synthia (my Korg Minilogue) is providing a little pitched noise with a patch I created called Train Whistle.

Help! I've fallen down the synth rabbit-hole and can't stop twisting knobs and pressing buttons.  I'm only few months into this journey, but wanted a Soundcloud page to start sharing some souvenirs from my freefall.  

For now all of the tracks I post here are improvisational sessions with Suexa, my coven of modular and semi-modular synth playmates, recorded direct into my Spire Studio. When there are vocals, they are usually unprocessed (except reverb) unless otherwise noted. All of my tracks are unmixed/unmastered and better listened to on high quality headphones.
