Looking back at this, I need to think retrospectively. What exactly happened back then? The bittersweet memories from my past, long buried by my own subconscious. Thankfully, I can uncover those memories because of this song. C’est fini to my past. All that’s left is to learn from it and greet my future.

Why do we see sorrow here? Yes, life hurts. Yes, what you have worked for all your life will fade. And in the end, nothing really matters. But that’s the beauty in it. You can do whatever you want. Feel no fear, chase your dreams, live carefree, and bring bliss everywhere. Bliss.

A Faded Memory You Can Never Touch

The Caretaker conjures a quieter, more introspective spirit, lost in his own mind amidst a low-lit labyrinth of ever-decaying and antediluvian shellac phrases. Sourced from a mysterious collection of 78s, these vague snippets of archaic sonics reflect the ability of Alzheimers patients to recall the songs of their past, and with them recollections of places, people, moods and sensations.
