Captivating Vocalist and Songwriter Clare Cowley, from Allora Queensland, is on the rise within the Meanjin/Brisbane music scene. With delicately rich vocals, Clare summons the spirit of folk music as she writes lyrics of lament. Her dynamic performances feature bluesy guitar playing, smoky piano and harmonica both in solo ballads and full band arrangements. With a rotating cast of accompanists on cello, violin, and vocal harmonies Cowley’s live performances are ever-evolving with new sonic twists that draw regular audiences back for more. 

Supported by a dedicated fanbase, Clare released her blues-inspired debut album 'To The Bottom' with Dylan Jeffreys and crowdfunded a tour in 2020 upon releasing her singles ‘Like The Muse’ and ‘Black Seeds’. In 2021, Clare released a folky sing-along ‘Song Material’, produced with JB Paterson at Easy Machine Recordings in late 2021. She swiftly answered her audience's appetite for more, with the brooding single ‘My Reason’ in 2022. Clare can’t wait to reveal she has much more music in the wings. In collaboration with her producer, Dylan Jeffreys, she is set to release her sophomore album, Desire Notes, this September!
