In August, Ish, Rebs,I, Bettina, Robin and Elif visited Bidston Observatory Artistic Research Centre in Liverpool, UK. (thank you James Elsey for introducing us💕) We each did an hour long mix to listen together in our allocated slots and chosen spots.

I was down to play mine on Friday evening. After noticing that Friday evening immediately came with a certain (self-inflicted) Friday evening entertainment pressure, I wanted to make a mix to explore and challenge this initial expectation.

The drawing in the thumbnail image captures the feels and flow of it ~ it is a bit like a river, with streams coming in and out, at times without warning, quite abruptly, at times consistently, reconnecting with some previous threads.

Ps. In 2020, I came across an online event called “𝙉𝙚𝙪𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙋𝙤𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙨: 𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙉𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙋𝙤𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙍𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙖𝙜𝙚” where I came across Adam Wolfond’s work.

It had left such an impression on me, that after 2 years, when reflecting on how time is conventionally perceived and structured due to reflecting on what a "Friday night mix" should be, I immediately, 🪨🌊🪨🌊🪨/recalled his poem: “𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙠 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙖𝙣…”
